Portrait Oil Painting: Recording Human Temperament and Soul
Portrait oil painting is the most humanistic branch of oil painting art. It takes human figures as the core, not only accurately depicting facial features and body shapes, but also focusing on capturing the unique temperament and inner soul of characters. Excellent portrait works can break through the limitations of time. Even after hundreds of years, viewers can still feel the character’s emotions, personality and life state from the picture. Classical court portraits highlight dignity and luxury with exquisite details and solemn composition; modern portrait oil paintings are more diverse, focusing on the expression of individual uniqueness, recording ordinary people’s joys, anger, sorrows and joys. Each portrait oil painting is a unique life portrait, preserving the most vivid human vitality.
